Legacy at Jones Farm is a development situated in Jones Valley and nestled at the foot of the mountain. It brought Bostick Landscape Architects (BLA) an opportunity to design an accessible and inviting space.
BLA designed a large, elevated courtyard with a walking trail. BLA placed lush plantings of perennials, shrubs, grasses, and trees along the trail, along with several seating options. BLA also designed a yoga lawn, passive areas for relaxation to watch the sunset, two firepit areas to unwind, grilling areas with pergolas, and gaming lawns. The courtyard's main feature is a lagoon pool with beach entry, waterfalls into the pool, bar seating in the pool, ledge seating, and a lap area.
The site also includes a dog park area for both small and large dogs. Throughout the site, the plantings utilize plant types from the first phase of the development. These repeat plantings allow the phases to blend together seamlessly. The plantings soften the building's façade, provide shade throughout the parking, and engage residents each day.
