As the world's third-largest defense contractor, BAE expanded its Huntsville presence with a new 83,000 sq. ft. office building in Cummings Research Park. Bostick Landscape Architects (BLA) completed the landscape and irrigation design for the site. BLA's landscape architecture met stringent requirements while creating specific views into the site and the facility.
BLA took the lead in designing an outdoor employee area. BLA placed planters to shade and act as built-in seating, additional shade structures for individualized breakout spaces, and perennials to create interest year-round. Smart irrigation controllers provide minimum water usage for the site saving both time and money.
