Huntsville, AL
As a continued revitalization of Downtown Huntsville takes place, the latest addition of the Mixed-Use City Centre is underway. A new apartment building that fronts Williams Street and Lowery Boulevard is taking shape. With a full urban setting, Bostick Landscape Architects (BLA) was tasked with providing hardscape design to match the paving patterns from the AC Marriott and the complex's pedestrian entrance.
BLA designed the community's courtyard with a pool, industrial style grilling stations, and a large dining pergola. The courtyard's paving materials are a mixture of pavers, concrete, and artificial turf with areas for sunbathing, eating, and hanging out. Outside of the courtyard, the residents have an outdoor gaming area and a dog park tucked into the complex's south side. BLA will complete the dog park with artificial turf to make maintenance easier.
The site's landscape allows it to fit seamlessly into the urban pattern, with trees lining the streets and shrubbery that softens the building. Its landscaping will help the Eclipse become the premier living destination in downtown Huntsville.
