Due to the apartments at Bridge Street success, the Watermark group looked to do a new complex. Watermark at Balch Road is less urban in style but contains all the same amenities. Bostick Landscape Architects (BLA) was involved in designing the pool shape, the clubhouse courtyard hardscape, and the spot grading within the fence.
BLA designed the central green space with residents in mind by creating gaming areas, fire pits, an outdoor cooking area, and a pavilion. BLA placed shade trees throughout, making the space a welcoming oasis in the evenings or on a hot afternoon. There are dog stations throughout the site for walking your dog and a large fenced-in dog park.
BLA planted perennials and grasses to give a sense of movement and color throughout the year, and seasonal plantings are at the clubhouse year-round.
